Still here...

Yeah, so it's been 4 months since I've sat down to share a post. I guess that qualifies me as the "worst blogger ever"! Despite our hopes that this semester would be a bit more calm and that Chuck would have a little more down time in his schedule we have been busier than ever. Thankfully graduation is in sight - only 6 or so more weeks! Yeah! Who knows what life has in store for us then as there are many variables still to be determined, but we are excited to start a new chapter in our lives.

The kids are, as always, growing like crazy and keeping us smiling. Here are a few updates about each of them just to catch up.

Morgan:
  • He's potty trained - yeah!
  • He's still sleeping in our room, but at least he's sleeping and we aren't battling each night.
  • His vocabulary is increasing by the day - the stuff he says is unbelievable.
  • His imagination runs in overdrive. We love to listen to him tell long-winded stories and make up his own games.
  • He adores his little sister - he can make her crack up laughing like nobody else. They are going to have a very special relationship, I can already tell.
  • He can say the alphabet, count to twelve, and knows many songs and several nursery rhymes by heart.
  • He's finally becoming a little less shy in public. He's beginning to interact with people and kids that he doesn't know or doesn't know well and actually talking and being silly. He carried on a conversation at the store with a stranger today which he never would have done before.
  • He LOVES to read and asks to go the library all the time:)

Sunny:
  • Is 7 months old!
  • She is sitting up and really taking an interest in toys and her dolls. Sophie the giraffe is her favorite.
  • She's eating lots of solid food. Her favorite is bananas and she loves to drink water from a glass.
  • She is the happiest little girl I've ever seen - her smile lights up a room.
  • She's proving to be quite the thrill-seeker. She loves the swings and the see-saw - the higher the better!
  • She LOVES to dance - she already has a patented move, "the wiggle worm dance". It's just too cute and we have been trying to capture it on video.
  • Says "mama"!!!!
So that's us right now. I'm going to try really hard to post at least once a week to keep a record of all the milestones and funny things that we experience...we'll see
